announcement for a poetry competition

"LA LEONESSA"

The rules of competition are as follows:

Section A: free subject Italian poetry, unpublished, never awarded or noted in any other competition. Poets of any nationality and any age can take part by sending three poems at the most.

Each poem should not be of more than 40 lines, in Italian language. Works must be typed in five copies and bound in a pamphlet. Works must be anonymous (not even with pseudonym) and the personal data of the writer should be sent in an enclosed sealed envelop; personal data should contain: name, surname, address, telephone number, titles of the works, signature authorizing the access and dealing with personal data and the authorship guarantee.

If you are under 18, please write your birth date on the data envelope. If you are a student, please write down your school, class and reference teacher on the data envelope.

Section D: poetry in any European language, never awarded or noted in any other competition. Non-italian students of the European Community can partecipate by sending one poem of not more than 40 lines (specifying clearly which among the European languages is used); the Italian or English translation is required at every lyric. Works must be typed in five copies and anonymous (not even with pseudonym) and the personal data of the writer should be sent in an enclosed sealed envelop; personal data should contain: name, surname, address, telephone number, titles of the works, signature authorizing the access and dealing with personal data and the authorship guarantee.
Please, specify school and age on the data envelope.

No entrance fee is required. All the matter sent will not be returned and will not be taken in consideration if not according to the rules mentioned above.
The envelopes will have to be sent on or before January 31^st 2003 by registered letter o priory mail to

The prize-giving ceremony will be on Sunday, April the 13th at the Auditorium San Barnaba, Pizzetta A. B. Michelangeli (Corso Magenta) in Brescia at 10 o’clock a.m.
Every poet of this competition is welcomed. The news about the names of the winners will be spread in time. The jury’s judgement is indisputable and unobjectionable.
Prizes shall be given personally or by delegation to somebody else who will anyway have to be present at the ceremony.
The organisation has the right to publish the prized and noted poems, though considering the full copyright of the author. The partecipation of the competition implies anyway the acceptance of all the above conditions.

Personal data will be dealt according to the 675/96 law, regarding privacy matter.
